Why should I become a Governor?
Many parents stand outside the school discussing with other parents what ideas they have, and sometimes complain about the school. Why not become a Governor and make the difference.
Being a Governor is easier than it may seem, it is a commitment but not a burden. On average we hold 5 – 6 meetings a year. These are kept as informal as possible to allow everyone a chance to state their views.
Our present Governors are all from different backgrounds, have different interests, but all are dedicated to giving the children in this school the best possible environment for learning.
As a parent you value your child's education, so it is in your interests to become a Governor.
You have a chance to listen to the future plans of the school and also to influence them- you would be able to give your thoughts – everyone has an opinion.
If you are interested in becoming a governor please contact Mrs Wetmore, the Clerk to the Governing Body, at school on
020 8571 1230.
