MyEd for school

Our school will be using MyEd for communication to parents and therefore you will need to install the MyEd app on your smart devices. Sending and receiving messages is free. Please click MyEd to see what the app looks like. This app can be downloaded from iTunes store or google play store.

 At Dormers Wells Junior School we are committed to respecting the rights of ourselves and others.  This year we are working together to achieve our Rights Respecting Schools Gold Award.  Please help us make our school community a place where children's rights are respected so that they can learn and play in a safe and nurturing environment.

In order to successfully join the two schools together, all school staff will be undertaking a week’s training in September, to thoroughly prepare for opening as one school: Dormers Wells Primary.

All Year 1 to Year 6 pupils will be welcomed back on Monday 9th September 2019 at 8:50 am, to begin our exciting new journey, as one school.  You need to ensure your child is on the school site, before 8:50am, but no earlier than 8.40am. 

 If your child is starting school in our Nursery or Reception, your child's exact start date and time is detailed in the letter you received, at the New Parents' Welcome Meetings, on the 11th July 2019.

Friday 13th September 2019 - It's Roald Dahl Day! Come in and dress up as your favourite character and play fun games. Click here for the poster.

Commencing Monday 16th September - Meet the teachers meetings will be held to give parents and carers the opportunity to meet their child’s teacher. Click for information.

Coding Club - We are very pleased to announce that more topics have been added to coding club including Music Technology, Animation, Web development and Robotics - for full details refer to the letter.  Places are limited so please return permission form and payment as soon as possible to secure a place.

Monday to Friday (Term Time) Only £9 per day per child from 3.15pm to 6 pm. Suitable for children aged up to 12 years.

Dormers Wells Hub provides a safe, nurturing and caring environment with fun, stimulating activities and play. Children attending the after school club, are collected from school and escorted back to the centre by our staff where they enjoy access to a wide range of activities at the centre of their choosing. We can provide facilities for reading and homework completion. We also provide a healthy snack each day.
